I am running OS V4R5 on 9402-400 AS/400 machine and I was wonder how do I go about aquiring Operations Navigator?

Thanks
Nick Patel

Nick, OpsNav should be in your IFS. Map a network drive to your 400. Navigate to /QIBM/ProdData/CA400. I have caexpress installed. You may not. Navigate down the tree until you find the install directory. Find setup.exe and double click.

How's the printer & FTP stuff going?

Hi OS400, thanks for showing me where the install is. I have Express directory. Do copy this to my local drive to install? By the way, thanks to you I've successfully been able to print to any printer through IP. I have also been able to ftp from pc to as/400 a few file successfully. However still haven't gone the other way. My Network admin is going to start ftp services on our windows 2003 server and then I'll try ftp to PC. Another thought occurred to me along the way and that was I didn't have to print 1000's of pages of reports when my users only used maybe a page of it once in a while. So, I'm looking at a product called coolspools which can turn my reports into PDF files. However, you insight and help has been invaluable. Thank you again.

Oops, forgot to let you know, under my install directory I have Image directory and thats where the setup.exe is.

thanks
Nick

Nick, you may want to take a look at Brad Stones - SPLTOOL product. it does ftp, print ranges, email and PDF. you can download a trial from
you can install opsnav directly from the 400.
