I just reinstalled XP Pro, and now I get the option to boot using XP, or 'unidentified OS on drive c:'

You can also right click 'My computer' and choose properties, go to the Advanced Tab' and choose 'Startup and Recovery' and uncheck the box called 'Display list of operting systems...'

Always more than one way to approach it. I favor this one because it can be easy to bork the boot.ini file which will stop you cold in your tracks.

Cheers!
