How do I get all my servers to link to each other? 1

We just got our frame connections installed and I think we may have to redo our servers so they can all see each other on the network and access each other for certain data files we need.

Currently, all the servers were setup as stand-alone Primary Domain Controllers with regular DSL service so that staff can get on the net. Below are the names they were setup with. Am I going to need to redo each server so they can see each on the network? They're all located in different areas of the city. I know it has something to do with trusts relationships but not sure what I need to do to get started. A step-by-step website or help here will be greatly appreciated. Side Note: All the servers are running Windows 2000 Server software. Thank you.

Just curious as to what other business do when naming their servers especially at various sites? I'm asking because I'm being asked to redo our servers and give all 12 of them the same name for i.e.: infotech

so what would the name scheme look like for several places?

Start > Programs > Administrative tools > The off to
Active directory domains and Trust open it up
Then when you see your primary domain ( The domain controller that is doing the priamry trust ) right click on the name and then go to Proporties , then go to the trust tab on the folder list ! then you would do your added trusted domains ! You must do this on each end of the trust
I am sure if you have routers and switches as well as fire wall programs you are going to have a lot of filtering as well as trusted ip's and ports ! but that is just the Jist of what you have to do .................. Anthony Cabanas

My question is, how are the domains at each location suppose to see each other when I don't see a section in those instructions to enter those server's IP addresses?

We do have a firewall as well, are there certain ports I need to open in order for this trust to happen?

Okay now you will only have option to add the Servers DNS name , I ment and i should have been clearer on the ip's
In your firewall program you would have to filter the DNS names as well as the ip addresses for the machine you are going to do the 2 way trust.
Now if you are running routing and rass on the servers as well within r/rass you could filter out connections to the tcp/udp ports and allow certain ip addresses to be allowed to comunicate with your servers if you want to get fancy .......... but its just a back up on or over the software based firewall program you have
best bet if you want to see the ports the machines ar comming in on when you have an active connection . follow this
Start > run > CMD > enter type in NETSTAT then hit enter.
and you will see the connections on all active ports on on that particular server and all of it's active connections ........... Or Netstat ? that will show you all the commands for netstat .....
