I'm trying to forward incoming e-mail for a user in our domain to an external e-mail address as well as keeping the e-mail for their internal company e-mail address. I tried it via the "Exchange General > Delivery Options" feature in User Properties but it will only forward to internal e-mails. Anyone have an idea on how this is done?

Thanks guys! I figured it out by googling. I just created another user and removed the "create exchange mailbox" and created an external e-mail. I went to the original user account and forwarded it to the external e-mail address and kept it in the exchange mailbox.

Google works wonders but so do you guys. Thanks for the quick replies!

Create a contact in active directory and mail enable it.

You can then use active directory to set an altenate recipient for your user. Open the properties page of the user and then under the Exchange General tab choose delivery options. In the forward to area you will need to add the contact you added earlier. Make sure to check the deliver to forwarding address and mailbox option.

You may also want to go back to the mail enabled contact and hide it from the global address book.

Hope that helps
