I hope I can explain my problem well enough....

Every time I open Windows explorer, the folder window/view on the left side of the screen is 'uncollapsed', and show all the folders under drive C, it also has the Windows folder uncollapsed. I would like it to open every time, collapsed to just showing drive A,B,C,D and E drives and not the long list of folders under C.
Since I have a long list of folders under C, it is tedious to scroll up und down, if what I want is on Drive A or E.

Thanks in advance!

g,day
try the following

1:- right click your explorer short cut

2:- click properties

3:- select shortcut tab

4:- in the target box type the following without the quotes
"c:\windows\explorer.exe /n, /e, select, c:\"

5:- in the start in box type "c:\"

6:- now click OK and open explorer problem should be cured
