hello,
as you will know from questions I have raised in the past I'm not a PBX engineer but I am keen to keep learning about how to support and manage our CS1000.
We have two sites that we look after. The main one is one we have always had and the second one is one we took on for various reasons. The PBX that we are now looking after is always displaying messages like
QOS001 Warning packet loss:[2.1 %]
Near [10.x.x.x:5414] TN[000 1 11 11],NZ[441:5]
Far [10.x.x.x:22211] TN[000 0 00 00], VPNI:Zone[441:1]

QOS009 Unac jitter :[PL:2.1 LT:213 JIT:42 R:0]
Near [10.x.x.x:5414],TN[000 1 11 11],NZ[441:5]
Far [10.x.x.x:22211] TN[000 0 00 00], VPNI:Zone[441:1]

from reading things on this forum I guess it means that the QOS threshold has been set and is being exceeded hence the alerts.
Our main PBX doesn't and so I am keen to find out what the thresholds are at the two locations. working on the PBX with these messages constantly coming up is a real pain in the bum.
At this stage I'm just keep to understand.
thanks

Do you know if QOS has been set up on the network of the "new" PBX?

thanks for the response but I fear I may not have expressed myself very well. We have different teams for networking etc and so I would have to presume that yes QOS is set up on the network.
The thing is that at the moment I am not trying to fix the QOS message, I am just trying to see what the threshold is currently set to for the alerts to appear. for instance if the QOS threshold is set to 100ms then these alerts wont appear but if it's set to 10ms then they will.
I am trying to find what the threshold values are currently for the 'new PBX'.
maybe the switch has logging turned on and that's why I see the messages? I just don't know :(

Hi
On our 5.5 system, look at the CS1000 Element Manager Web Interface
Under IP Network->QoS Thresholds you will find the Thresholds.
Alternativly, use cmd line with ld117
Referance material would be
CS1000 Large System Mainenance: Procative Voice Quality Management
Software Input/Output System Messages: QoS: Quality of Service

I forgot to comment on suppression of messages, there are several levels available.
See the referance material.
