Router N00b here so dont flame me too bad.

I am trying to fidure out my ASN number and I am having trouble locating the proper command sequence to educate myself.

Can anyone help a wanna-be router master??

What routing protocol you are using?
If it's EIGRP, you assign the number.
If it's BGP, out to AT&T's IPeFR, etc., they assign the number.
And there are others.
If you have a Cisco network, the most common protocol is EIGRP. Generally, you give the routing process on each router the same AS#.

show ip protocols

this will list the routing protocols you have running including the AS number Erik Rudnick, CCIE No. 9545
