Hello,

I have been in IT over 18 years, but my PM knowledge is very basic.

Thanks,
Adam

Adam.

With this being a world wide forum it might be worth letting people know where you are and how far you are willing to travel etc.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by

Hello,

I would like the tutoring be done via phone. My tutor would also be my guide in the world of IT Project Management.

I live in Atlanta, Georgia USA.

Regards,
Adam

There is a PMI chapter in Atlanta and they have a mentoring program.

Here's a list of their upcoming events. Go to one of the dinner meetings (you must register in advance -- just follow the links) and network with people there to get a sense of the possibilities.

Finding a mentor is a two-way street. You need to find someone who you are comfortable working with and the mentor needs to be comfortable working with you. Done properly, there is considerable interaction over an extended period so the commitment from both parties is considerable.
