Hi,
How do I run the following:

#exec cgi="cgi-bin/newsdisplay.cgi" from within a html page

We are running IIS 5.0 on Windows 2000 w/ ActivePerl.

I have it embedded correctly and it works on a unix server but won't execute on 2000. The script is running properly and the permissions for the page should be set correctly.

Thanks,
Marty Galabinski

Hi Moegal,

I'm presume your Active Perl is installed correctly.

If you type the whole path in your URL like
does it display the required information without errors?

If an error occurs, one possible reason is because you did not enabled Web sharing for the specific domain to the directory where your script file resides?

To do so,
1) simply open Win Explorer,
2) go to the cgi-bin folder that contain the cgi script,
3) right click and choose properties,
4) click on web sharing tab,
5) share the folder to the domain that requires access to the script file

Hope this will resolve your problem.

Best Regards,
Bryan
