I would like to disable the Mouse Wheel in Access 2003 and have not been able to find anything that seems to work. I am not very familiar with code but I have tried to enter code from previous examples on how to disable the mouse wheel but I cannot get it to work.

My reason for disabling the mouse wheel is so that users do not scroll through records when entering information.

Can someone assist me in my latest defeat?

Thanks!

Hi Ace Man! So you mean to tell me that the user will have to click a button to turn off the mouse wheel and then remember to turn it on when he leaves the database?

If I could get people to remember that, I could get them to remember not to use the mouse wheel.

Am I reading that right?

While you could use the click of a button, Ive used this very successfully triggered by the onload event of a form. unloading the form re-enables the mousewheel.

Ok, I went to the link posted. I coiped the .dll file and placed it in my Windows Folder. I also copied the code and entered as an Event Procedure On_Load and On_Unload like the sample shows. But I keep getting an error message stating that there is a problem with the expression or VBA. Can someone help me correct this problem so I can disable to mouse wheel? Thanks!

I think I need someone to walk me through this. Thanks!

Nevermind!!! I got it!!! Wow - I can't believe this works. Thanks to everyone for all your help. I'm sure my next dilemma will be posted soon!!!!

Thanks!
