How Do I Delete a HUGE Directory

I have several directories on a Netware 5 server that I have been unsuccessfully trying to delete. Each directory has well over 100000 files. I have tried deleting from Windows 2000 Explorer, from a command prompt, from Netware Administrator, etc. I either get an hourglass sitting there forever or the workstation and/or server lock up. Is there any way I can just get rid of the suckers quickly and safely?

Have you left it going overnight? It will take a bit of time if there is as many files as you say there is.

What Service Pack are you running on your server? I also wonder if TOOLBOX.NLM or NETBASIC would also have the same effect? -----------------------------------------------------
