I'd like to create a simple guestbook page on my site, where visitors can post brief comments for all to see. I imagine I'll want to use Dreamweaver's built-in forms for this. Not being particularly technical myself, I thought I'd ask if anyone could give me a brief overview on the steps to follow before I spend several hours muddling through the manual. I need to know what type of form to insert, and the underlying CGI or Javascript code to use.
Thank you!

Your best bet is for you to first find the script you want to use, either Java or CGI, then from there see what the script needs from you.

Otherwise you might just end up building an entire section to your site that wont fit the script you like, and you'll have to redo everything from scratch.

There are plenty of free scripts out there, just seach for them using any search engine, use keywords like "Free CGI" or "Free Java Scripts". Tons of site will appear, and most offer simple guestbooks.

On the other hand, if this is not a comercial site, whay not look into offsite hosting, I find that <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> has a very nice and quite customizable guestbook.

Andre Vandal
dezign@canada.com
<a href= Dezign's Sites
A bit of eveything Celestial
