How do i connect to Oracle Database via MTS

Hi Eveybody,

I tried connecting to SQL via MTS which is properly working

I tried Connecting to Oracle via MTS which is giving me a problem ie., iam not in a position to connect to Database itself

If i use Provider

then the error message displayed is

Install Oracle Client 7.3.3 or latter
where by i do have Oracle 8.i client installed in my MTS Server

If i use Driver

then the error message is that ADO doesn't support Driver

I tried Connecting with MS OLEDB Provider for Drivers where by i internally refered to MS ODBC Drive for Oracle which is also raising problems

Pls Kindly help me in this issue

Pls let me know whether do i have any sequence of installing components &
where the problem would be either on Oracle Data base or MTS server

If you are using the Oracle 8i client on the MTS server you will need to change the referenced Oracle dll's that MTS uses by default. By default MTS makes reference to the Oracle 7 dll's in the registry on the MTS server - (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Transaction Server\Local Computer\My Computer
OracleSqlLib should reference orasql8.dll and OracleXALib should reference oraclient8.dll. The following link will give you lots of information concering MTS and Oracle.
