Sorry for the dumb question. I am a newbie to Servicecenter and I need to close out a ticket. Can someone please give me detailed instructions on how to do this or point me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It could be that you are in a profile that isn't allowed to close tickets... or maybe a Display Option that you are not enable for (we have certain options that are only available for certain capability words)..
I would suggest that you talk to your local admin about this. Your admin may have setup access that allows only specific users/profiles to close tickets or that tickets can only be closed under specific conditions.
