I need to change the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) size on some of my dialup connections for testing purposes. I know that I could do this in W9x and found this hint on how to do it in W2k:

The problem with this tip is that it seems impossible to find a specifik dialup entry in the registry..

Does anyone know how to do this, or have any other ways of changing the MTU?

i'am not sure but if you look in the registry for this location

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\ some number

you should see some interfaces here
and then if the MTU is already there change it if not add it yourself as a DWORD name MTU and then decimal or HEX add your value.

again i think this is it. (-:

Hi Centauri!

Thanks for the tip but the problem is that I would like to find a relationship between my different dialups and that "some number" that you mention so I can have different MTU values for different dialups!
