I need to change the drive letters of my CD-Rom's in XP. They conflict with the log-in script we run @ work and to change the mapped-drive letters will mean configuring a whole bunch of proprietary software which is a nightmare. :(

Right click "my computer" -->manage --> Under Computer management ---> go to storage option -->under storage go to Disk Management-->you will able to see all your drives with CDROM also then right click on that drive --> click on "chnage drive letters and path" click on change to change your drive letter for CDROM.

That's it.

Hope this helps Aslam

Note that, if you change the drive letter of a hard drive, you should re-install all applications installed on that drive; or at least go to the registry and change the drive letter manually for each application.
