I want to change the rings of certain extentions to ring straight to audix with a detailed recored message. To be more precise, my manager wants anyone who dials a specific extention range to be directed to a recording stating to them that they cannot reach these people by dialing these extentions. These people are supposed to be reached by dialing there agent id logins. Thanks

Do you want the extensions to take calls at all?

If no, you can just give the extension a coverage path with the "All" option set to yes. That directs calls directly to cover without ringing on the extension (unless you have redirect notification set to yes on the station form, then you'll get the half-ring).

We use this one to make calls go directly to voice mail without ringing on the telephone:

COVERAGE PATH

Coverage Path Number: xxx
Hunt after Coverage? n
Next Path Number: Linkage

COVERAGE CRITERIA

Station/Group Status Inside Call Outside Call
Active? n n
Busy? n n
Don't Answer? n n Number of Rings: 1
All? y y
DND/SAC/Goto Cover? y y

COVERAGE POINTS

Terminate to Coverage Pts. with Bridged Appearances? n

Point1: (Audix Hunt) Point2: Point3:
Point4: Point5: Point6:

The number of rings does not matter once the "All" is set to yes.

Good Luck

You need to make these subscribers auto-attendants.
At the bottom of the screen you will see a timeout entry.
Change this to zero ie 0 seconds. In the timeout number
insert the number of a voicebox you have previously created with the default announcement.

Hi, you can restrict people from dialing the ext nos. by the COR, you can restrict everybody cor to call the agents exts cor, this is working if you have EAS, caz agent login and st can be assigned defferent cor.

Sounds like you have an Elite Call-Center. If you are dialing by extension through a vector, meaning you are collecting 4 digits and routing to digits with coverage, you can create a VRT (Vector Routing Table). Its pretty easy.
1) Change the vector that your collecting digits in.
2) Find the vector step just below the "COLLECT" statement so you can insert a line.
3) Hit F6
4) Below you will see 2 options D=DELETE I=INSERT.
5) Type i and you will be prompted to enter what line you want to insert. Save your change.
6) Type [add vrt 1].
7) One this form add all the extensions you don't want people to dial.
8) Change that same vector again.
9) On the inserted line Type
[goto step __ if digits in table 1]
10) Find an empty step at the bottom of the vector and put that step in the blank field for the step you just inserted.

The idea here is if someone dials one of these extensions you can route it to an announcement and then forward it to the receptionist or to a Customer Service Que. This is cleaner than using up RIGHT TO USE to route calls to a VM box.
