How do I capture first effective date of Job Title and current Organization while in that Job Title?

I'm sorry, I lost track of what you wanted to do. Use my original approach, and group by job title and sort by date descending, and use the earlier formulas to get the org. Then insert a maximum on date at the job title group level, and go to report->group sort and choose maximum of date as your group sort field.
