I want to make my computer to auto logon with an account established by me. It actually autologs on now as the Administrator which is not my intention... an it would be enough to set it not to autolog on as the Administrator

It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.
Thanks for your attitude!

Open up regedit from the command prompt.
Open the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > MICROSOFT >WINDOWS NT > CURRENT VERSION > WINLOGON

Ensure the key Autoadminlogon is set to 1 (it should be already if your machine is automatically logging on currently)

Double click the key Defaultusername and change to the account to be the user that you wish to automatically log on.

Double click on the key defaultpassword and set this to be the password of the account in question.

Give a quick reboot and the machine should automatically log on.

Hi,

You can also go to Start...Run...and type
the following:

control userpasswords2

This will allow you to do autologins without going into the registry.

Hope this helps,

Erik
