How do I append data to a file on a network drive? DOS recognizes the network drive, but my executable file will not work with it. Network uses Novell NetWare.

I would check your rights to that directory and to that file as a first step.
I want to append test data to network files from some product testers in an assembly area. The computers have a ROM DOS which is not able to append to files. The ROM DOS copy command (and the other commands)work fine with the network.
I suspect I am not properly addressing or "mapping" the network from my C code.
Thanks for your response. If you can help, please do!

I had a quick look at and idd no see any mention of support for IPX networks - just IP. Are you sure that rom-dos supports Netware drive mappings?
*** My data transfer now works. ***
The problem was a faulty network driver.
