How do i add extra fonts ?

Now please .......read ,this is a question and not to start another discussion about how many fonts are allowed in your folder before your computer crashes,cause that threat is saw on ..

Thats was more or less the same question as the one im having,but that guy never got an answer...
So the question is still open...how do i add extra fonts that i can use when working with adobe 7.0
Where can i get them...( free ones made by creative people)
and in whitch folder do i need to put them....
Any helpfull answers to this all ?

all fonts go in windows>fonts folder

if you have a font manager then you can put the fonts anywhere. but all active fonts go in the above folder.

do a search on google. there arent many free font sources that wont take up a lot of time but i spent 10 bucks at

and downloaded over 2000 fonts. plus adobe has font packages. They all cost money and all in all ive spent about $50 bucks but have well over 5000 fonts. if the font has an install option then run it but usually you just cut and paste the font file into the windows>fonts folder

thanks for replying,however what i dont understand is ,do i have to look out for how the file is named or anything ?
Lets say...if i find some fonts or packages....
What should the file name or extension be ?
And if everything is fine ,just dump it into the folder you mentioned and that should be okay as i understand ?

packages usually come zipped. Font files are are font files you can tell cuz the icons have a letter on them usually TT for true type fonts, or A or O. But the font files are just placed in the fonts folder and then all you do is restart windoze, unless you have a font manager.

thanks for the good support,went to the folder you mentioned and it was a copy paste story so it worked.
