I have a NEC Aspire S system with 4 lines. I want to add a COI card to the system and assign a line to a one set. What are the steps after I get into programming.

Right, sorry for the delay, ill help as much as can.

Im taking it your using the ASPIRE programming tool.

So when you have put the card in the system, connect and take a full download of the system, then in easy edit mode, navigate to cards, card configuration. Then insert the correcet card by dragging and dropping into the correct slot(if its not there all ready)just check under the card for the trunk numbers, (1-4t)this is trunks 1 to 4

then to get an analogue line to ring one extension (if thats what you mean)

You then need to go down the easy edit menu to DIL, incoming service type - select DIL for each trunk in the mode columns for the required trunks in use by the COI card.

Then go to DIL, DIL Assignment.
and assign the extension number you would like the line to ring to in the First target box, against the trunk/line numbers of the COI card.

You can add a second destination but this has to be a ring group.

Now upload the config and should be ok!
