1) We are using Architect, Transformer, Powerplay for Windows Reporter, and UpFront to deliver reports via PowerPlay Web Viewer. When publishing a report created with PPWinReporter to UpFront, and using the publishing options to prompt the user for some or all of the dimensions, we face the following problem: how can we enable the capability for the user to select MULTIPLE values ("categories") for any one or several of those prompts? (The built-in prompts only allow selecting a single value--as soon as one value is clicked, the prompt dialog closes and the report is regenerated.) Is there any way to control the html code that is generated for those default built-in prompts? Or is there any other method that could be used to provide multi-select capability on prompts for dimension filters that could be employed when the user is running a PPWeb report?

2) A related question: how can we customize the “Modify Report - Provide information to customize your report” page that comes up before actually running the report? (The “Modify Report” page is the page that contains the dimension line filter buttons, and a few other buttons like “Swap rows and columns”, “Apply zero suppression on rows and columns”, and “Use short headings”. It is invoked when a report creator publishes a PowerPlay report to UpFront, and chooses to prompt the user for certain dimension filters and other possible options). We need to add several options to the existing choices; for instance, we need to allow the selection of some pre-defined report footers, and so on. If there is an efficient way to customize the way that “Modify Report” page is generated, that would solve a lot of problems for us!

These are good questions. I gave the post a red star to highlight an unanswered post. I am also need to know the answers before I recommand PP/Web as the choice to the next project.

Someone please help!

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure both of these are non-starters because :

the prompts are in effect filtering the dimension line in the windows version to build the report. and this does not allow multiple filters.

Again functionality not supported

I looked at this post because the star indicated that a good answer had been given to the question, please don't give starts for good questions, save them for good answers.

Agree with Gary Parker - I, too, was interested in a good solution, not an unsolved problem. Stars are for tips.

Sometimes the grass is greener on the other side because there is more manure there - original.
