I am having problem of getting an correct counter for my report. I am making a report that display monthly charge base on each customer and i break down the report subtotal by month. I got all that working, but I could not get me counter working right. Because I only want to count if the amount is greater than zero for each different department, but all it gives me the total counter of every month regardless of whether the amount is zero, and what departments the amount comes from. And i seem to have problem of getting the counter right. I don't known much about crystalreports. Can any one out tell me how can I get this right. I am truly appreciated.

Thank much in advance,
CL

dgillz,
I have another question. where do you go in crystal reports to right your own query. If You can show me this that would be very helpful. Thank you so much

Insert, field object, formula field, rt click and select new, and write your formulas.

Your crystal report IS a query. I am not sure I understand your second question. Software Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

Crystal reports uses a Query by example system. You join the tables using the linking expert. set the Where clauses using the selection expert. Group using the grouping menu.

You can however create your own queries using the crystal SQL designer. Be careful though you can only use one DSN in each query and only one Query per report.
