You could download the OS X Developer Tools DEC2001 from Apple's Developer Site and then download the source for the latest version of Samba server from
CAUTION: It's very difficult to get it working but once you do it is flawless. The compiling went fine for me. I had trouble getting the options in the /etc/samba/smbd.conf file configured properly. I also had to kill the samba process to restart it.
Appleshare IP - enable Windows SMB.
Mac OS 9 desktop pretending to be a server - buy Maclan connect for the PC.
OS X 10.0 - don't do it, its unstable with SMB.
OS X 10.1 - enable Windows SMB file sharing.
