How can I map a window drive to an macintosh server share?

Thanks

KC

if the mac is using Appletalk then the product to buy is PC Mac LAN I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

You could use DAVE, this is TCPIP based which is quicker than AppleTalk. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

You could download the OS X Developer Tools DEC2001 from Apple's Developer Site and then download the source for the latest version of Samba server from and compile the server and set it up.

CAUTION: It's very difficult to get it working but once you do it is flawless. The compiling went fine for me. I had trouble getting the options in the /etc/samba/smbd.conf file configured properly. I also had to kill the samba process to restart it.

THIS IS FREE !!!!!!!!!

Depends which macintosh server it is...

Appleshare IP - enable Windows SMB.
Mac OS 9 desktop pretending to be a server - buy Maclan connect for the PC.
OS X 10.0 - don't do it, its unstable with SMB.
OS X 10.1 - enable Windows SMB file sharing.
