Hi,

I have two Avaya IPOffice 500V2, both are connected to each other over H323 trunk with sub type Qsig. I want to do call barring on specific numbers between these 2 ipoffices.

Is there any way to do this.

Thanks in Advance.

Who set the trunk up for you? Calls don't get sent to the QSIG by accident or default, they have to be specifically routed to it. The same method used to do that can also be used to restrict those numbers that shouldn't go to the QSIG by routing them somewhere else or to Barred.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

you can say both IPOffices are connected to each other with no icoming group id

Sure this isn't a SCN trunk?
Otherwise the MUST be call routes between the IP Offices.

Yes, this is not SCN, is there any way to bar specific numbers calling between ipoffice

Yes, via shortcode.

Let's say:

IPO A has 1xx extension numbers
IPO B has 2xx extension numbers.

You want to block IPO A to call extension 243

Then create shortcode 243 , Barred on IPO A..

The only way that could happen is if the QSIG trunk is the only trunk on the system, ie. outgoing line groups ID 0 doesn't go anywhere else. Else you have other trunk and pretty much by chance some calls go external and some go to the QSIG.

Meanwhile, start looking at system short codes set to the feature Barred.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks Okkie26 for help

I want to block call not form sourcr, i want to block call at destination, i mean through incoming call route not from short code

Just another untrained engineer forced to manage a system he clearly is not capable for.
Tarvez, I feel sorry for you but tell your boss you need to be trained for stuff like this, you cannot do this without deeper knowledge.

If you give a Qsig and normal external trunk the same outgoing call ID, you're shouldn't do this kind of work cause you're retarded by me...

Hi intrigrant,

Thanks for your suggestion, but its real problem which i am facing and try to find workaround.

If you can't help then please keep your suggestion with you only.

Thanks

1) Incoming call routes aren't used for incoming calls on a QSIG trunk.

2) You need to look at the Line Short Codes form. Add short codes there that match the numbers you want blocked and are set to the Barred feature (is that the 3rd time I've said that!).

Meanwhile, I will say it is stupid when you control both systems to route the calls to the trunk in the first place if you don't want to allow them at the other end. That's just wasting resources. Block them on the source system.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Okkie26, could you please let me know the full implementation

I told you.

On the receiving IPO ( B in my example ) incomming H323 Trunk. Tab shortcode add shortcode 243, function Barred.

Use User Restrictions tables instead, line shortcodes are a general rule which applies to all users on site A.
Force all users not allowed to dial any extension on the remote (B) site with the user restriction table and add one or more shortcodes barring the remote numbers.
Create another user restriction table for all users allowed to dial one or more extensions and put the appropriate shortcode in that table.
And in the syste m shortcodes delete all shortcodes pointing to the Qsig outgoing line ID.
If all users numbers on site B are in the range 2xx theb create a shortcode in the first user restriction table : SC=2XX, TN= none,Action=Barred
and in the econd User Restriction table add a shortcode SC=2XX, TN=. , Action=Dial, LineID=the outgoing line ID of the Qsig trunk.

If you don't know how to do it then call someone who does if it is of that importance to you.
