How can i stop a running task?

I use EPO 3.5 and i would like to now how can i stop a running task.
For example if i by accident start deploying McAfee to 4500 clients, how can i stop the task since all the clients are pulling the software???

delete the task from

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Network Associates\Common Framework\Task

and reboot

Ok but, are you sure it will not crash? Have you tried it?

yeah, i use to delete those tasks all the time, just make sure you have the right one or you'll end up removing a scheduled task...
