Because I have failed on convincing my users to not leave applications open when going home, I would really love to make them logoff or shutdown automatically. Is there a way to use Task Scheduler in winnt4 wks for this. If yes can someone tell how to write the script.
Thank you

I have been trying to figure out the same thing Deklin [yinyang]

There are a number of options. You can set peoples allowed logon hours, and "force logoff when logon hours expire".

Alternatively, you can use the logout.exe (I think it is) or shutdown.exe that comes with the resource kit, and the AT command to schedule its use. [auto] MCSE NT4/W2K

I found a nice little freeware called poweroff.exe which remotely or locally reboots, shuts down, runs programs etc. The advantage with this little gem is the scheduler which is quite flexible. Don't forget to create the service poweroff before setting up your schedule.
