Hello Everyone...
This my first post in this wonderful forum.
I am Nortel technician and recently I am getting into Avaya Equipments.
Actually, I need your help folks.
I bought an Avaya s8700 Media server for lab purposes with no config Information.
I searched in manuals and forums(including this one) and I got the default IP address (192.11.13.6/255.255.255.252). The Avaya s8700 has this IP address, but I cannot log in because I do not have the User and pass. I tried a lot of differents User/Pass, like dadmin, craft, cust, etc, until I almost lost the hope.

So, I am aproaching you guys(the experts) in order to see if you know a procedure to reset the password or even, reset the whole config to factory settings.

I'll appreciate your help with this issue.
Thank you in advanced.

Regards!!!

If you use an iso image to make a CD, or if you have a CD with the CM software on it, you can reimage the hard drive and it will be default with default logins and passwords.

or

you could have someone reset the passwords for you.

AvayaTier3 Thank you for you quick response.

How can I know the version of CM software if I cannot log in?

or it doesn't matter the version of CM?

Do you know where can I download it?

Could you reset the password for me if I give you remote access?

Thank you.

I can help you with the complete process

If you have iso image disk with CM, you can load any r11, mv1, cm2, cm3, or cm4 software version disk and have default craft and root passwords. It does not matter what is currently on the disk if you do not mind blowing that away when you reimage the disk by doing a new install.

This will work fine and quickly for a lab. Should take around 30 minutes.
