Hi All,

I just wanted to know if anyone knows the process of replicating a DB400 database from one iSeries to another iSeries, and if the replication is perform on record level or bit level.

Thanks!

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is just what you want but you can create distributed data management file(DDM) which will conversate between two ISeries server. The command to create is:CRTDDMF. The menu to hanle these files is:CMDDDMF.

Is this something you use at the moment? and for what purpose?

Thanks.

No we are not using it at the moment. But years ago we had another AS/400 in another location and we had a program that read file in that server.

Do you want to perform a 'one off' copy or on a regular basis or do you want to keep the two databases in sync at all times?
