Running XP Pro. My third partition (50gb) now appears as RAW (unformatted) space. I don't want to format it, because that will damage my lost data. What tool can I use to recover data from a RAW drive?

How can I recover data from a damaged partition shown as RAW?

The same thing just happened to me on a Maxtor 80GB with XP Pro. I was in a hurry so I just formatted it again and all was fine. From what little research I've done, I think the only sure way to recover most of your data is have the professionals take care of it. The only question you have to ask yourself is if your willing to pay $10 a gig for the recovery.
i recently tried an app called virtual lab, it worked pretty good. they let you recovery some files for free to start. i'd highly recommend for you to try, can't hurt.
