how can i query a dabase?

Hi,
can you help me?
iam using oracle portal 9i. How can i query a table through a query button that will bring to me the names of the bank i want through(%r or %r%)?
what is happening now is that i query the table from any field, it bring every name from the table, i don´t want this to happen?

how can i also syncronize three comboboxes through javascript?
help, help, help???

javascript cannot connect to a database like this - you're better off using server-side scripting (like ASP, JSP, PHP, ColdFusion) to do it. you can also have the server-side script select the appropriate option in a select list. =========================================================
