I have a POTS line for faxing, but I also cross connected it to line 62 on my BCM so I could use it for outbound calls. Problem is that when you fax to it, the General Mailbox gets it every time. I added the line to a bogus ring group with no members as a test and it did not help. Is it possible to use a line for outbound, and have the bcm ignore it on inbound?

Thanks

Make the line to appear only and not ring then it will not go to VM.

All these guys have great answers, but how about make the fax answer after the first ring?

If you are only using this line for outbound calls, and the telephone line is not part of the rotary numbers... change the fax then there is no programming required.
