How can I play multiple, simultaneous WAV files

I need to play multiple WAV files at the same time. (Background noise & one or more foreground sounds) What is the best way to accomplish this?

I'll admit I'm a VB novice who hasn't programmed VB in a couple years.

Any assistance or nudges in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
Have you tried to add the windows media player component? go to project pull down menu, then components.. then down thru the list until you find the windows media player. i am not sure if you can play more than one sound at a time. but maybe a step in right direction. hope it helped some = )

Thanks for the idea. I have only been able to have the Windows Media Player play 1 sound at a time. Even with multiple instances of the WMP, only one sound plays at a time...
