My root partition where IIS is currently installed on NT Server 4.0 is full. I need to move IIS to a new partition on a new hard disk just added. There are many ASP pages, FrontPage extensions, etc. that I would like to keep intact. I have no idea how to go about doing this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would copy all data from the disk to the new one using SCOPY (from resource kit) in Windows NT 4.0 or use XCOPY in Windows 2000 to copy all ACL information and reassign the drive letters in Disk Administrator.

Regards

Lars
I actually would like to move only the IIS web server from the root partition -- not everything else. Any ideas on how to do this? Thanks again.

You can use Server Magic to add the new hardisk partition to the root partition. It must be a adjecent partition and will enlarge the root partition.

Why don't you leave IIS running where it is, simply move your site directories to the new drive and remap their location in IIS. There's no need to move the whole IIS installation.
