How Can I LOCK my MS Word document and use autotext

tkral and storyteller I want to thank you both for helping me out. Now I have a new problem. Is there anyway to use AutoText and lock the document????

Sorry, tried that in Word 2000, Tools / Protect / Forms, and you can't protect the form and use AutoText. There has to be away around this...
 
Tools/Protect/Forms stops all sorts of things happening - even including some keyboard shortcuts (like CTRL+DEL to delete a word!). My advice: don't use it. It seems like the answer to all kinds of problems, but it leaves you with as many problems as you started off with. Maybe in Word 2010 it'll work properly - or at least Msoft might document what doesn't work and why!
 
Yeah maybe your right, but I really needed to lock those forms, my end users will screw them up.

If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this problem, feel free to speak up..
