Hi guys i've been learning about my nortel PBX (CS 1000) for 2 weeks now but there are still so much thing that eludes me.

So i'm looking the list the entire list of ALL DID configured in the PBX and to which extensions they are associated.
After searching on the forum I did a print of the IDC Table but I know for a fact that I have more DID than what is listed here.

Here is the result of the IDC print

Is there something i'm doing wrong?
I have a result of less than half the DIDs that I know of.
Can someone help with this?

You wont find DID numbers in the system. You will need to ask your provider for a list of all your DID. Usually they are bought in blocks but not always.

How can my provider tell me the DIDs that are configured on my system.

And I see some of them in the list above, the IDGT are the last 2 digits of my DIDs.
But the thing is they are not all there.

If the 3 digits the local Telco is sending you match the DN of the set there is no need to convert the digits, that's probably why they are not showing up in your IDC table. If all of them matched your numbering plan you wouldn't need an IDC table at all.

I made a typo in my previous response, I meant to say the IDGT are the last 3 digits of my DIDs.

But here is another question.

lets take the first 2 entry.

[pre]IDGT CDGT
024 593
107 590[/pre]

What will happen if I have two DID as follow?
418-690-1024
418-690-2024

And how can I find what happens to a DID that I know is configured in my PBX let say 418-690-1111 if I don't see it in the IDC table?

Is there a way to find where it is configured?

If you have 418-690-1024 and 418-690-2024, both phone numbers will ring the same DN in your configuration. The alternative is to change to four digit extensions.

As posted, you only need IDC if the DID number does not match the extension - THAT is why your system does not know what is, and what is not DID. Only the phone company knows your DID numbers.

Ok! I get the part about the list of DID. Thanks for the clarification.

But I think I just didn't express myself correctly.
I already have the list of ALL my DID. The thing is, I don't know where every one of them are distributed.

So at the moment I was able to find that some with the following command.

* LD 20 PRT, TRK (WAT, COT) (3 WAT Lines, 6 COT lines)
* LD 49 PRT, IDC (IDC) (29 lines)

But still there are some numbers(or whatever I should call them) I don't know where they are distributed in my system.

Should I be looking in different Overlays or is there some other command that could give me the finishing information?

The number of trunks and the number of entries in an IDC table in no way corresponds to what and how many DID #'s you have from your Telco. If the number is not in an IDC table then you can find it by printing a DNB in LD 20. The DNB will print all of your numbering plan that is in use.

Ok, got it!

Thanks you very much to all of you for putting up with my questions even though they are not very clean or correctly explained.
This has been a very tough but fun in the last 2 weeks.
