I know what the problem is (ref ms support doc ID Q226513) but MS will not put out a SP7. I know it is a srv.sys problem and just need the update/hotfix for the memory leak. Wher can I get it without paying MS $245 per incident? - Dave

What am I missing?? The issue in the KB article you cited is indicated as being resolved in SP6A.

Is it NOT fixed in SP6A?

no, this is not fixed by 6pa, also see article q272194 which also adresses event 2019, this article references the newer srv.sys dated 10.10.00 which is not available on the ms web. where can i get this?

The only way to get it without initial cost is to find somebody who already paid for it....which is what I am guessing you are attempting to accomplish now.

I have never had to deal with the MS front line support as our company has a Premiere contract, but it seems by the way it is stated in the KB article at the bottom *NOTE
that they would not charge you if this update indeed resolves your issue....am I being naive or ignorant to the ways of MS support?

Sorry I can't help!

I'll give it a whirl and see if they just give it to me - Thanks
