Pls help, I need to distribute mail coming into our network to multiple users.

We have a mailbox setup for Info@mydomain.com and I need to send a copy of all mail coming into this mailbox to 3 people in our organisation.

Any light on the matter would be much appreciated

Thanks

Vinny

You either creat a group containing those 3 users and forward all incoming from info@ to that group.

If the info@ does not need a mailbox, you can create a distributionlist with the info@ address, again containing those 3 users.

Or .. you could leave the info mailbox, and connect the 3 people to it using IMAP, which is a much safer way to handle it. Why? Because if you forward a message (query) from a customer to 3 people, they may all reply, but worse, they may all reply with a different answer.
When using IMAP, they all 'see' that an email has been handled.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your reply, the IMAP route sounds good.

Is it difficult to implement? And how would I go about doing this?

Thanks again

Vinny

There is nothing to implement, it is already there.
You just have to check on the server that for that user (mailbox) IMAP is active (which it is by default).

For the users, you create either a seperate Outlook Profile, configured as IMAP.
In most cases, this is rather annoying since they will have to switch back and forth from their own mail and the IMAP mail.
So, you can configure Outlook Express just for IMAP instead, so they can have both mailboxes open at the same time.
