Our shop has 45 people using InDesignCS & it is difficult to get them all to use the PDF Export Preset that we created for our operation. Is there a way to delete the default [Press] preset?

Why don't you just change the defult settings to suit.
Create a blank document.
File>Export
Select adobe PDF
Change your setting to suit
save presets
Rename preset file to "[Press]

Overwrite the old one... Ta, Da

Marcus,

The suggestion that you made allows me to create a new preset but won't let me overwrite the old one; I get a dialog box with a statement "That preset name is already in use. Please choose another".

I really need to get rid of the default [Press] preset or overwrite it.

Step 1: Create a new document.
Step 2: File>Export
Step 3: Select Adobe PDF
Step 4: Change settings to suit
Step 5: click on Save Presets
Step 6: rename [Custom] to [Press]
Step 7: continue making the PDF.
Quit InDesign reopen it.

Create a document, File>export, the [Press] settings will have changed.

Marcus,

Thanks for solving our InDesign issue. We are in Buffalo, NY, USA getting ready for winter; I hope that you have a great summer "down under".

Thanks, again.
