how can I create a graffitti stensil effect

I´m new to this, so I hope I´m doing everything right. I´m a
designer and creating a new logo at the moment. It´s being created in
Illustrator CS, but I need to create a graffitti stensil effect (like

it has to look
pretty realistic with paint
leaking down... I don´t want to create it in Photoshop. Could enyone

Create it as a photoshop image, save it as a bitmap and then trace it using the auto trace tool in Illustrator CS (that I just found out about).
I am still testing this tool, but it looks like you will get a better result if you start off witha bitmap much larger than you want the finished vector to be.
