We take an inbound call..
press conference and connect to outside caller...
at this point we can put either caller on hold and retrieve call, one is on line key other is on conf button.. so agent has a conversation with both parties independantly but then gets old and wants to bridge together...
NOPE cant do.. is this an ip set gotcha ?
worked on 2216 sets pre conversion...

The accepted method is to press the Conference button again, and it links all parties together.

Consultation: Press conference, dial the number, wait for answer, speak to party, then go back to first caller. You just consulted a 3rd party privately.

Conference: Press conference, dial the number, wait for answer, then press conference. You just connected a 3-party call together

You can also use call join.
Put the initial call on hold, use another dn to call the other party.
You can go back and forth between the 2, and when you are ready to conference the other party, just press conference and press the other dn key.

wow do i feel stupid .. we were going back to the origional caller not 3rd party and hitting conference..thanks guys
