Hello!

We have two IDS 2000 9.21 running on Windows 2000.
On the first server I make a backup every day and I want to restore it on the other server automatically.

I tried to start it with a batchfile using:

ontape -r < response.dat

response.dat is to confirm the questions from "ontape".
So you need to press enter after inserting the tape, later you have to choose "y" to continue restoring, and so on...
But my batch doesn't work.
Pressing Enter - ok
The first question - ok.
The second question the programm quits (Aborting Restore).

Is there a way to do that automatically?

For the ontape -s it works....

if you're still trying to sort it out, try using a here doc.
let me know if you need more info.

Thank you for your answer.

But I found another solution.

It works now with a little VBScript with "sendkeys" and the sleep-command...
