How can I automatically add text to PDF files

I need to add copyright information to all scanned documents. The documents will be scanned in, I basically just want acrobat to add an image or text to the bottom of the first page, or all pages, or something along those lines.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

When you say scanned documents, I assume you are scanning the documents using a scanner. Normally, scans can have a watermark facility to put.
You can also think of a watermark as copyright info which is possible in pdf documents. Read help on Watermark in PDF writer or Distiller. This could help you ramani :-9

What I want to do exactly is to add copyright information along with a link back to the company website. Acrobat is not used to scan the files, instead the files are scanned into TIF format using an automated program, then the TIF's are dumped to Adobe Capture 1.0. Capture then converts to PDF. Currelty there are several thousand PDF's on file. I would like to add the copyright and link to every PDF file. I have started looking into Adobe SDK and some other stuff. I found an this article (

which talks about adding a watermark from within Acrobat, but that is no good because this needs to be completely automated process. The Acrobat 4.0 SDK has a VB example that adds fields to acrobat document. I believe a field will be necessary for the linking part. The only prob with that method is that I don't see the option to make a field a hyperlink.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
