Add as a new local user on Computer 2 the username and passwords of the user(s) on Computer 1.

When you create the share on Windows 2000, you can say whether a password is needed or not. The default is full access to the share. If the share name you created is SOFT and the computer name is WIN2000PC, then from the Windows 98 computer, within the RUN command line, type in \\WIN2000PC\SOFT and press Enter. This should display the shared folder. Thanks, James
