I'm surprised there's still so much human involvement. I was expecting much more automation of the process

A star for cdogg, as it is eye-opening how much is involved in making these boards, and cdogg has in the past consistently made the point to myself and others that you need to think about how these things are made before getting mad if they do not work.

The hope is that if you need to do an RMA, at least you understand how the OEM manufacturer's start the whole process, and you are hopefully nicer as a result when there is an end user issue.
