I am currently support a Palm Vx user who formerly hotsynched with Notes 4.6. address book and calendar. Due to a change of departments the client is now in an enviroment where they can only synch with the Palm Desktop. When I try to synch the data currently on the pilot, nothing comes up on the Desktop. This is a different PC than what they were using with no conduit to Notes installed.

Something on the pilot will not transfer..

There is a EasySync software availble for Notes. But we disband using EasySync for Intellisync 4.x that supports both R4 and R5. I am not too sure what you are asking, but in order to sync with Notes (either R4 or R5), you will need either EasySync or Intellisync. We are running Palm Vx and has no problem synchin Vx with R5 (calendar, mail, Address book and To-Do) As for memo, Notes does not a a database for Memo (aka Journal). If you want to sync the Memo with Notes, you will have to create a Journal NSF for that client and point Paml sync program to synch with journal NSF. Palm Vx Palm Desktop software that came with the Palm does not allow synching with Notes. Once you have EasySync or Intellisync, you can customized the Palm to sync with Notes (with some minor tweeking required)

Good luck

Actually what I trying to do is take the data theat is currently on the pilot from hotsynching with Notes and drop that into plain old palm desktop interface, and work with that going forward.

I am not trying to re-establish the Notes synch, but instead keep the data and transpose it into palm desktop. Importing does not work because the files are in nsf format , not aba.

I need to find out how to transfer data that currently resides in the Palm Desktop software (especially the contacts) into Lotus Notes R5. I have downloaded EasySync but when I started to install it, a message said I would have to uninstall the 3rd party conduit to make it work. I aborted because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to use the Palm software anymore. I don't know how to get the Palm Desktop information into Lotus Notes.
Can anyone help me please?
