Hotmail Messages Are Downloaded Twice in Outlook Express

I have windows XP and use Outlook Express for my hotmail account. My Hotmail Messages Are Downloaded Twice. How do I go about resolving this?

This is becasue you are in the hotmail folder at the time it is downloading. This is a known problem using OE for Hotmail.

I don't have OE at the moment, so I can't give you the exact steps, but somewhere in the OE options, uncheck 'When starting go directly to my Inbox'. Then when you start OE, wait until it's done downloading from Hotmail before entering your Hotmail inbox.
