No, not really. In release 3 of the ICP you can hotswap 2 like devices with each other in that the extensions swap locations. It is not the same hotdesking as the 3300 where the signed in location moves and supresses the other extension.
Both methods have their own advantages, free(200) and flexibility(3300).
One other thing cool about the hotswap is that it will also work with dnic sets as long as you swap like devices (4025 to 4025, etc)
In rls 3 you do not physically swap it in the sense of picking up the phone and taking it to another location.
Rather in rls 3 the user is able to TEMPORARILY (temporarily being the operative word here) go to another established instrument and pull his number and features to him.
Don't confuse this with hotdesking, tho similar it is very different.
Rls 3 training can explain it much better than I, tho I understand the basics of how it works.
